Maintenance Technician Livermore based plastics injection molding facility is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and maintain molding machines and accessory equipment. (Molding machines, dryers, grinders, loaders, mold heaters, chillers, and others as needed) Preventive maintenance of this equipment is included in the responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities • Maintain/troubleshoot production and facilities equipment including corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance • Work on other assignments as required with little or no supervision • Data input as needed for inventory control • Interface with manufacturing, warehouse and technical functions as required to perform required tasks • Collect and dispose hazardous and non-hazardous waste • Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels for equipment consumables • Facility Customer service (change light bulbs, repair sinks, toilets, etc.) • Adhere to company policies, safety rules, and work instructions as a condition of employment • Others as required

Qualifications: Previous troubleshooting experience in: • 480/240 3 phase systems with an understanding power distribution in an industrial plant environment. • A basic understanding of electric control systems, motor starters, heater circuits, relays, fuses transformers and contactors. • A basic understanding of hydraulic systems, including pumps, directional valves, relief valves and pressure/flow concepts. • A basic understanding of electric and hydraulic schematics and machine control prints.

Preferred experience: • Knowledge in injection molding, pneumatics, compressors and cooling towers.

Basic requirements: • Detail oriented with an ability to follow specific instruction • Self-starter with good interpersonal and customer service skills • Must be able to handle lifting requirements (up to 50 lbs) as part of normal work activities • Ability to multitask • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, MRP) • Mechanical and troubleshooting ability • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Education/Experience • High school diploma or equivalent required • 1+ years of experience maintaining production equipment/facilities • Experience working in clean room environments preferred • Experience working in ISO certified environments strongly preferred
